What our clients say

Adrienne planned the perfect honeymoon for us. We were overwhelmed with the thought of planning it ourselves and put it off for years.

Before we arrived

★★★★★

We even left a swimsuit in the first hotel in San Jose and she somehow summoned a group of pigeons to get it delivered to the next hotel in La Fortuna before we arrived.

Where to stay

Makanda by the Sea pool

Makanda by the Sea

Manuel Antonio

Hidden within the rainforest above Manuel Antonio, Makanda by the Sea is an adults-only retreat where contemporary villas and suites are scattered across a steep jungle hillside. Elevated walkways connect the accommodations with infinity pools and a secluded cove below, while monkeys, sloths, and toucans are frequent visitors. It's an ideal place for honeymooners and couples.

Costa Rica

Nayara Springs pool

Nayara Springs

La Fortuna

Adults-only Nayara Springs occupies a quiet corner of the Nayara estate beneath Arenal Volcano. Every villa includes a private, mineral-fed plunge pool surrounded by rainforest, with hanging bridges linking guests to the restaurants, spa, and facilities across all three Nayara properties. It's the most private of the Nayara collection while still giving guests access to everything the resort has to offer.

Costa Rica

Matachica Resort, Ambergris Caye, Belize

Matachica Resort

Ambergris Caye

North of San Pedro, Matachica stretches along a quiet section of Ambergris Caye where colorful casitas sit between tropical gardens and the Caribbean. The adults-only resort feels relaxed rather than formal, with the Belize Barrier Reef just offshore and golf carts replacing cars. It's an easy place to slow down without feeling isolated from the island.

Belize

Cayo Espanto, Belize private island

Cayo Espanto

Private Island

Reached by a short boat ride from San Pedro, Cayo Espanto is an island built entirely around privacy. With only seven villas, every stay is tailored around the individual guest rather than a fixed resort schedule. Each villa includes its own dock or plunge pool, along with a private butler and meals prepared to your preferences throughout the day.

Belize

Nomade Holbox Mexico

Nômade Holbox

Holbox

At the quieter end of Holbox, Nômade spreads treehouses, tents, and suites between mangroves and the Gulf of Mexico. Organic architecture and wellness programming reflect the island’s slower pace, with the beach immediately beyond the property.

Mexico

Casa Palopo Lake Atitlan Guatemala room

Casa Palopó

Lake Atitlán

Bright blues, handcrafted Guatemalan textiles, and contemporary local art have become the signature of Casa Palopó overlooking Lake Atitlán. Fifteen individually designed rooms and a private villa face the lake and its surrounding volcanoes, while Relais & Châteaux dining has earned the hotel a reputation as one of Guatemala's finest culinary destinations.

Guatemala

Awasi Atacama Chile

Awasi Atacama

San Pedro de Atacama

Awasi Atacama places 12 circular adobe suites around a private courtyard in central San Pedro. Every suite receives a private guide and four-wheel-drive vehicle, allowing desert days to be planned entirely around individual interests, pace, and altitude.

Chile

Islas Secas

Gulf of Chiriquí

Fourteen private islands in Panama's Gulf of Chiriquí form the setting for Islas Secas, one of Central America's most exclusive island retreats. Just eight casitas accommodate a maximum of 24 guests across an otherwise undeveloped archipelago, where protected rainforest and marine habitats remain the focus. Whale watching, world-class fishing, diving, and wildlife encounters all take place within one of Panama's most important marine reserves.

More FAQ
How far ahead should we book?

Six to twelve months is ideal, especially for December to April or for villas with private pools, which sell out first.

When is the best time to go?

December to April is dry season across most of Central America and Mexico, and the busiest. Our favorite months are May, June and November: fewer crowds, lush landscapes and better rates.

How long should a honeymoon be?

Ten to fourteen days is common. That's enough time for two or three stops, often an active start and a beach finish.

Do hotels offer honeymoon extras?

Many do! Think a welcome bottle, a special turndown or an upgrade when available. Some ask for proof of marriage within the past six to twelve months.

Can we combine two countries?

Absolutely! Popular pairings include Costa Rica and Panama, Belize and Guatemala, and Peru and the Galápagos, all linked by short flights.

Should we leave right after the wedding?

Many couples leave within a few days. Others wait a few months for better weather or rates, which also gives you something to look forward to.
