Private islands, overwater villas & unforgettable moments, tailored just for the two of you

Belize is the only English-speaking nation in Central America, with one foot in the jungle and the other in the Caribbean Sea. It's an ideal honeymoon destination for beachgoers and adventurers alike. Belize’s Barrier Reef is the second largest in the world, home to more than 100 types of coral, 500 species of tropical fish, whale sharks, turtles, and rays.

But, there's more to this pint-sized country than its undersea treasures. Hidden inland are relics of one of history's most mysterious civilizations – the ancient Maya. Descend into natural caves, explore the depths of the Blue Hole, discover ancient archaeological sites, or just indulge in some beach time. Belize is the perfect place to do anything, or nothing at all.

We're your Belize honeymoon experts. At Osaviva, we create custom Belize honeymoon packages designed around you. No cookie cutter trips, just hand crafted itineraries and expert support to make your honeymoon seamless, stress free, and unforgettable.

Our favorite honeymoon stays

Ray Caye Island Resort

Private Island

Reached only by boat from Placencia, Ray Caye is a private island surrounded by clear Caribbean water and the Belize Barrier Reef. Beachfront villas and overwater suites place the sea at your doorstep, with snorkeling, diving, fishing, and paddleboarding filling each day. Evenings are quieter, with sunsets, fresh seafood, and little beyond the sound of the water.

Belize

Naia Resort & Spa

Placencia

Stretching along an undeveloped beach about 40 minutes from Placencia Airport, Naïa spreads beachfront studios, beach houses, and private pool villas across 19 acres of gardens and shoreline. The spacious layout gives each accommodation plenty of privacy without feeling isolated. A protected lagoon sits on one side of the property, with the Caribbean on the other.

Belize

Blancaneaux Lodge

Mountain Pine Ridge

Hidden deep within the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve, about an hour from San Ignacio, Blancaneaux Lodge is Francis Ford Coppola's 20-room retreat beside the Privassion River. Stone cottages and thatched villas are scattered between waterfalls, pools, and open pine forest, creating a landscape unlike anywhere else in Belize.

Belize

Cayo Espanto

Private Island

Reached by a short boat ride from San Pedro, Cayo Espanto is an island built entirely around privacy. With only seven villas, every stay is tailored around the individual guest rather than a fixed resort schedule. Each villa includes its own dock or plunge pool, along with a private butler and meals prepared to your preferences throughout the day.

Belize

Matachica Resort

Ambergris Caye

North of San Pedro, Matachica stretches along a quiet section of Ambergris Caye where colorful casitas sit between tropical gardens and the Caribbean. The adults-only resort feels relaxed rather than formal, with the Belize Barrier Reef just offshore and golf carts replacing cars. It's an easy place to slow down without feeling isolated from the island.

Belize

Copal Tree Lodge

Toledo District

Copal Tree Lodge sits on a 12,000-acre sustainable farm and cacao estate in southern Belize, where rainforest, river, and agriculture are closely connected. Sixteen suites look across farmland and forest, while much of the produce, chocolate, and rum served here is grown or made on the property. Days often include river excursions, wildlife, and a closer look at one of Belize's most ambitious regenerative farms.

Moments made for two

Honeymoon experiences we love

1

Jungle lodges with private plunge pools

Wake to birdsong and filtered sunlight as the forest stirs around you. From your hillside suite, slip into a private plunge pool overlooking the canopy. Far from crowds, time slows and nature becomes a backdrop to something quieter, something just for two.

2

Overwater villas above turquoise shallows

Float above clear water in a villa built for quiet seclusion. Step onto your deck for sunrise coffee, watch rays drift below, and end the day with a swim as the sky turns coral. The world feels soft and slow when it surrounds you on all sides.

3

Private dinners on a quiet stretch of beach

As the tide settles, lanterns glow and a table is set in the sand. Fresh-caught seafood arrives with the soft sound of waves, and the night opens into something simple and intimate. Just you, the sea, and the warmth of Belizean hospitality.

4

Snorkeling with turtles on the Barrier Reef

Slip into warm water and drift over bright coral gardens. Sea turtles glide past with calm precision and curious rays circle the sandy shallows. Sharing these still underwater moments becomes one of the memories you carry home together.

5

Waterfall swims in the Maya Mountains

Follow a jungle trail to a hidden cascade where cool spray fills the air. The pool below glimmers in patches of sun and shade. Take a quiet swim, settle on smooth rock, and feel the wild beauty of Belize become part of your day.

6

Private flyover of the Great Blue Hole

Lift off above the cayes and watch the sea shift from jade to deep sapphire. As the Great Blue Hole appears below, its perfect circle feels almost otherworldly. Trace its edges from the air, just the two of you, with nothing but open sky and endless water stretching to the horizon.

How it works
FAQ

Questions, answered

Questions about planning a honeymoon in Belize? Here are a few things we discuss when choosing your route, rooms and experiences.

More FAQ
Can we combine rainforest and reef on our Belize honeymoon?

Yes. Many of our Belize honeymoons begin in the Cayo District, with caves, Maya ruins and waterfall swims, before continuing to the coast or a private island for snorkeling and beach time. We plan the transfers around your dates and preferred pace.

Which Belize stays have private pools?

Options include select villas at Blancaneaux Lodge, Naia and Cayo Espanto. We help you choose the specific room category, since a private pool is a feature of particular suites or villas rather than every room.

Can we stay in an overwater villa?

Cayo Espanto's Casa Ventanas is one of the overwater options we can discuss. Availability and the room you choose determine what is possible for your dates.

What experiences can you arrange for two?

Ideas include private beach dinners, reef snorkeling, waterfall swims in Mountain Pine Ridge and a flight over the Great Blue Hole. We build the itinerary around your interests and confirm arrangements during booking.

When should we travel to Belize?

Late November through May is generally a popular period for reef and inland travel. June and July can offer quieter stays with rain. For late summer and autumn, we discuss storm risk and any seasonal hotel closures before recommending a route.

Are these fixed honeymoon packages?

No. The featured trips are starting points. Your honeymoon is planned around your dates, travel style and budget, with the chosen stays, transfers and experiences confirmed as part of your itinerary.
