Romance, with a sense of adventure

Couples travel

Private couples' trips through Central America, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean, planned around your occasion, interests, accommodation, and pace.

Where romance meets adventure

Plunge pools, sunset sails & candlelit dinners

Proposals and elopements, babymoons and vow renewals, anniversaries and long-overdue getaways for two – you only get the chance to celebrate your milestone once, and we're here to help you do it right. Maybe that's a surprise proposal on a hanging bridge high above Costa Rica's Arenal rainforest, an anniversary toast among the vines in Mendoza as the Andes glow pink at sunset, or a candlelit dinner on a rooftop in Cartagena's old walled city. Sigh.

Why travel with Osaviva?

Your secret's safe with us.

A photographer hidden in the trees, a private dinner on the sand, champagne waiting in your room. Tell us the plan, and we'll make it happen.

We know which room to book.

The villa facing the jungle beats the one facing the spa path. We'll steer you to the room worth paying for.

Perks on us.

Book through us and you'll often get extras like breakfast, a room upgrade when available, or a welcome bottle, for little to nothing more than booking direct.

Don't take our word for it

What our clients say

We even left a swimsuit in the first hotel in San Jose and [Osaviva] somehow summoned a group of pigeons to get it delivered to the next hotel in La Fortuna before we arrived.

Where to stay

Makanda by the Sea pool

Makanda by the Sea

Manuel Antonio

Hidden within the rainforest above Manuel Antonio, Makanda by the Sea is an adults-only retreat where contemporary villas and suites are scattered across a steep jungle hillside. Elevated walkways connect the accommodations with infinity pools and a secluded cove below, while monkeys, sloths, and toucans are frequent visitors. It's an ideal place for honeymooners and couples.

Costa Rica

Nayara Springs pool

Nayara Springs

La Fortuna

Adults-only Nayara Springs occupies a quiet corner of the Nayara estate beneath Arenal Volcano. Every villa includes a private, mineral-fed plunge pool surrounded by rainforest, with hanging bridges linking guests to the restaurants, spa, and facilities across all three Nayara properties. It's the most private of the Nayara collection while still giving guests access to everything the resort has to offer.

Costa Rica

Matachica Resort, Ambergris Caye, Belize

Matachica Resort

Ambergris Caye

North of San Pedro, Matachica stretches along a quiet section of Ambergris Caye where colorful casitas sit between tropical gardens and the Caribbean. The adults-only resort feels relaxed rather than formal, with the Belize Barrier Reef just offshore and golf carts replacing cars. It's an easy place to slow down without feeling isolated from the island.

Belize

Cayo Espanto, Belize private island

Cayo Espanto

Private Island

Reached by a short boat ride from San Pedro, Cayo Espanto is an island built entirely around privacy. With only seven villas, every stay is tailored around the individual guest rather than a fixed resort schedule. Each villa includes its own dock or plunge pool, along with a private butler and meals prepared to your preferences throughout the day.

Belize

Nomade Holbox Mexico

Nômade Holbox

Holbox

At the quieter end of Holbox, Nômade spreads treehouses, tents, and suites between mangroves and the Gulf of Mexico. Organic architecture and wellness programming reflect the island’s slower pace, with the beach immediately beyond the property.

Mexico

Casa Palopo Lake Atitlan Guatemala room

Casa Palopó

Lake Atitlán

Bright blues, handcrafted Guatemalan textiles, and contemporary local art have become the signature of Casa Palopó overlooking Lake Atitlán. Fifteen individually designed rooms and a private villa face the lake and its surrounding volcanoes, while Relais & Châteaux dining has earned the hotel a reputation as one of Guatemala's finest culinary destinations.

Guatemala

Awasi Atacama Chile

Awasi Atacama

San Pedro de Atacama

Awasi Atacama places 12 circular adobe suites around a private courtyard in central San Pedro. Every suite receives a private guide and four-wheel-drive vehicle, allowing desert days to be planned entirely around individual interests, pace, and altitude.

Chile

Islas Secas

Gulf of Chiriquí

Fourteen private islands in Panama's Gulf of Chiriquí form the setting for Islas Secas, one of Central America's most exclusive island retreats. Just eight casitas accommodate a maximum of 24 guests across an otherwise undeveloped archipelago, where protected rainforest and marine habitats remain the focus. Whale watching, world-class fishing, diving, and wildlife encounters all take place within one of Panama's most important marine reserves.

When we plan a trip

Moments made for two

Jungle villa and private plunge pool at Blancaneaux Lodge in Belize

Slow mornings in the canopy

Jungle lodges with private plunge pools

Wake to birdsong and filtered sunlight as the forest stirs around you. From your hillside suite, slip into a private plunge pool overlooking the canopy. Far from crowds, time slows and nature becomes a backdrop to something quieter, something just for two.

Costa Rica catamaran sunset

Golden hour on the water

Sunset sails & private cruises

Drift along golden coastlines as the sun slips beneath the sea. Whether it's a catamaran in the Caribbean or a wooden sailboat on a mountain lake, a private cruise offers space to exhale, toast to the moment, and watch the world shift from day to dusk.

Couple relaxing by the pool at La Valise in Mexico

Stillness, shared

Couples' spa rituals & wellness retreats

Unwind with side-by-side massages in an open-air treatment room or soak in volcanic thermal springs surrounded by forest. From sunrise yoga to moonlit soaks, these moments of stillness offer restoration and quiet connection.

Beach picnic

No footprints but yours

Secluded beach picnics

Arrive by boat or by foot to a beach with no footprints but your own. A blanket is spread, wine chilled, and time feels endless. Swim, sunbathe, and linger until the light begins to soften and the tide begins to rise.

Milky Way above Chile

Under an open sky

Stargazing far from city lights

In the highlands or by the sea, the sky opens wide. Lay back on warm sand or curl into a blanket on a private deck and watch the constellations turn. Some places make you feel wonderfully small together.

Sunset beach dinner at Cayo Espanto in Belize

A table for two

Candlelit dinners, just for two

Beneath the stars on a private catamaran, beside a jungle waterfall, or on a terrace above a colonial town. Local flavors, flickering candlelight, and no one else in sight.

More FAQ
Where should we go?

For beaches and downtime: the Belize cayes, Mexico's Pacific and Caribbean coasts, or the Caribbean islands. For culture and food: Peru, Mexico City or Buenos Aires. For wine: Mendoza or Chile's Colchagua Valley.

Can you help plan a proposal?

Yes, we love helping with proposals! Tell us when you book, and we'll plan around the timing, the setting and any extras like a photographer or private dinner.

Are there adults-only hotels?

Plenty, especially in Mexico and the Caribbean. Many smaller lodges also set a minimum age for guests.

What about a babymoon?

Check with your doctor first, as well as your airline's cut-off for flying while pregnant. Read the current health advice on mosquito-borne illnesses for pregnant travelers, since it varies by country.

How long should we go for?

A week suits one or two places. Ten days or more lets you pair an inland stop with a few days on the beach.

Are destinations welcoming to LGBTQ+ couples?

Many are. Same-sex marriage is legal in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Mexico, and Buenos Aires and Mexico City have big LGBTQ+ scenes. Attitudes in rural areas can be more conservative.
