La Valise Mexico City

La Valise Mexico City

Hidden inside a townhouse in Roma Norte, La Valise has just a handful of individually designed suites. The tiny scale feels residential rather than hotel-like, placing cafés, galleries, and restaurants directly outside the door.

Brick Hotel

Brick Hotel

Colima 71

Casa de Sierra Nevada, A Belmond Hotel

Rather than occupying one large building, Casa de Sierra Nevada spreads through several historic mansions near San Miguel’s central plaza. Courtyards, gardens, and individually furnished rooms give each part of the hotel its own character.

Hotel Matilda San Miguel

Hotel Matilda

Contemporary art gives Hotel Matilda a distinctly modern identity within colonial San Miguel de Allende. Rooms gather around gardens and a pool near the historic center, with the hotel’s art collection and restaurant playing a large role in the stay.

Casa Hoyos San Miguel de Allende

Casa Hoyos

Bold contemporary Mexican design fills Casa Hoyos, a small hotel inside a restored historic building in central San Miguel. A rooftop pool and bar overlook the surrounding rooftops, while galleries and restaurants are easily reached on foot.

L'Otel Casa Arca

L'Otel Casa Arca

A tiny collection of suites occupies L’Otel Casa Arca in the heart of San Miguel de Allende. Art, antiques, and richly layered interiors give it the character of a private residence, with the Parroquia and central plaza only a short walk away.

La Purificadora

La Purificadora

Built into a former 19th-century water purification plant, La Purificadora retains exposed stone and industrial elements alongside contemporary design. Its central Puebla location puts the city’s historic core within easy walking distance.

La Valise San Miguel de Allende

La Valise San Miguel de Allende

Every suite carries original work by Mexican artist Pedro Friedeberg, set inside a restored colonial house with a moon-door entrance, a secret Zen garden under lemon trees, and stairways carved with ancient geometric patterns. It is a very small, six-suite property with a minimum age of 12, and rooms book up quickly given San Miguel's popularity, so this suits couples and older-family trips rather than families with young children.
