Where to stay

Otro Oaxaca

Steps from Santo Domingo, Otro Oaxaca brings contemporary Mexican architecture into the historic center without trying to imitate the colonial buildings around it. Rooms gather around courtyards and terraces, with Oaxaca’s markets, galleries, and restaurants within walking distance.

Hotel Escondido Oaxaca

Hotel Escondido Oaxaca

Behind a historic façade in central Oaxaca, Hotel Escondido pairs restored architecture with a distinctly contemporary interior. A small number of rooms, a courtyard pool, and rooftop spaces provide a compact base for exploring the city on foot.

Hotel Escondido

Hotel Escondido

Individual palapa-roofed bungalows line an undeveloped stretch of Pacific coast west of Puerto Escondido. Each opens toward the sea with its own plunge pool, while the remote location keeps the focus on beach, surf, and the surrounding landscape.

Hotel Terrestre

Terrestre

Built almost entirely from local materials and powered largely by solar energy, Terrestre sits in the dry tropical landscape outside Puerto Escondido. Fourteen villas use courtyards, pools, and natural ventilation to respond directly to the climate rather than seal guests away from it.

Casa TO

Casa TO

Sculptural concrete arches surround a central pool at Casa TO near La Punta. Only a handful of suites occupy the design-led property, creating a quiet architectural retreat a short distance from Puerto Escondido’s beaches and restaurants.

Casona Sforza

Casona Sforza

Vaulted brick arches rise above the coastal landscape at Casona Sforza, a small hotel outside Puerto Escondido. Its distinctive architecture frames gardens, pools, and the Pacific while keeping the guest count deliberately low.
